Hello, I’m Evan Roberts, owner of Handy Dude Home Services. I launched the business in January 2026 after 27 years in professional software development. When my previous company restructured and eliminated most of the technology department, I saw it as an opportunity to do something I’ve always enjoyed — hands-on home improvement work.

Remodeling and DIY projects have been a constant throughout my adult life. Every home I’ve owned has been a fixer-upper, and I’ve taken on everything from large renovation projects to countless small repairs for myself and friends. Turning that experience into a business felt like the right move.

January was spent getting fully insured and organized so I could launch the business properly. My background in software engineering and a Computer Science degree means I approach work methodically and with attention to detail. I show up when I say I will, communicate clearly, and take pride in doing the job right.
